It's been a while...

It has been a while since I have posted on our blog.  There has been so much change in our lives over the past 6 months.  We moved to Greenwood, In. in July and I am now staying home with Mia.  I am enjoying being at home with her, being more involved with her therapies, and seeing her reach so many new milestones.

Mia has adjusted so well to the move, I have been so shocked.  We are seeing tons of gains in her speech, behaviors, and overall health.

Our book has been postponed for a few months due to some circumstances out of our control.  We have secured a new publisher and are back on track to hopefully be finished soon.

I also have become a consultant for a non toxic product line, Ava Anderson Non Toxic.  I found these products at Autism One this year.

Essential Oils have become a big part of our recovery too.  Contact me for more information about those as well.

I am hoping to earn enough income from sharing the products that are helping our family to help be able to continue to stay home with Mia.

Mia has qualified to have a dream come true courtesy of the Sunshine Foundation.  There is a wait list and she has been added to this list.  The estimated wait list time is usually between 12-18 months.  We have requested that she get to stay at their Dream Village and get to visit Disney World.  We are so blessed to have the opportunity to do this with Mia.

You can read more about the Sunshine Foundation at www.sunshinefoundation.org

You can also donate to the Sunshine Foundation if you are wanting a way to help make special needs children's dreams come true.  Visit http://www.sunshinefoundation.org/waystohelp.html for mor information.

Autism One 2014

Very excited to be planning my trip to:

2014 AutismOne Conference

InterContinental Chicago O’Hare Hotel
5300 North River Road
Rosemont, IL
Conference Dates: May 21 -25, 2014

The twelfth year of the AutismOne Conference brings you the most cutting-edge autism science and treatment, truths and alternatives no other conference will provide, the best in educational therapy, the beauty of art by talented individuals on the spectrum, and much more.
AutismOne is THE premier networking hub of the autism advocacy and science community, where doctors network with other researchers and parents and where parents share ideas and support with each other.
AutismOne is THE premier place where fruitful ideas for your children and families grow. Many children have recovered whose parents attended AutismOne. 2014 will see a special introductory seminar for parents new to the diagnosis on Friday, with special diet and cooking hours on Saturday.
The conference begins on Wednesday, and the five-day event will cover topics such as vision and auditory therapy, innovative brain and immune system treatments, music, painting, help for seizures, restoring gut health, vocational issues for adults, a special keynote surprise, and much, much more. We’ll see you in Chicago!
